Welcome to International Swedish Championship for A 22.
  Int. Swedish championship for A 22 is a part of Arkoregattan 2009.
The regatta also consist of Swedish championship for Trissjolle and traditional dingy and keelboat classes.

1. Rules
1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
1.2 All yachts shall in accordance with ISAF regulation 20, display advertising provided by the event organizer.

2. Eligibility requirements
2.1 Competitors shall comply with ISAF Regulation 19.
2.2 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance.
2.3 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk.

The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

3. Entries
3.1 Participant must apply not later than July. 31 th. 2009. Late entries may be accepted until August 12th. Such entries require acceptance by the Race Committee. Entries to be made on NSS website www.nss.nu or in written to NSS, Världens ände 7, 610 25 Arkösund.

3.2 The advance entry shall include the following:
The name and sailing society of the skipper
Name and sailing society for the crew
Sailing number
Contact person with address, telephone and e-mail
3.3 The entry fee is 1400 SEK paid to BG 5938-9817
Late entry fee is 2 100 SEK.

4. Registration and measurement checks
4.1 Registration shall be made at the race office not later than
20:00 August 14th 2009
4.2 Measurement certificate shall be presented prior to racing if asked for.
4.3 A yacht or equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with the class rules and sailing instructions.

5. Sailing Instructions
5.1 The sailing instructions will be handed out upon completion of the registration.

6. Time schedule
6.1 Friday August 14th
08:00 - 09:00 Race office open
18:00 - 20:00 Race office open
20:00 opening ceremony Arkoregattan

Saturday August 15th
08:30 skippers meeting
10:55 Warning signal first race
No warning signal will be given after 16:30
After Sail after the races
19:00. Regatta dinner

Sunday August 16th
08:00 skippers meeting
09:55 Warning signal first race
No warning signal will be given after 15:00
Price giving ceremony will be held at the NSS club house after completion of protests
6.2 Six (6) race are planned.

7. Race format
7.1 One-fleet races are scheduled.

8. Racing area
8.1 The water about 2,5 NM south east of Arkosund.

9. The course
9.1 A 22 will sail a windward/leeward course.

10. Protests and penalty systems
10.1 RRS 44.1 will apply

11. Scoring
11.1 The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed; a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
11.2 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship.

12. Prizes
12.1 Sailing Federation Championship Plaques.
Series prizes will be awarded.
Prices of honour will be rewarded.
